Overview

As a UX Product Designer at RealPage, you are at the front-line of product development in representing our customers and end-users and living our design-centered methodology. You will represent Design in all steps of the product development lifecycle and provide heavy guidance especially in the discovery and design phases. You work in close partnership with product and engineering to define and deliver the work.

Responsibilities

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Use personas and a narrative to story-tell the problem to solve and its solution
  • Extract requirements from customer pain points
  • Conduct user, customer, and SME interviews
  • Clearly document knowledge, existing workflows, and pain points gained from user, customer, and SME interviews
  • Solve product/user problems utilizing user-centered design thinking
  • Document the design solution's workflow and functional specifications for Engineering to build
  • Work with PM to align on design solution and assist in discovery efforts with producing discussion guides and conducting SME interviews
  • Work with engineers and QA to be able to communicate designed functionality and workflows for ticketing and quality control testing
  • Utilize design standards system in designing a solution and work with Design Standards team to provide feedback on design system evolution
  • Work with UX researchers in continuous discovery efforts
  • Understanding how to establish success metrics to gauge adoption and solution validation
  • Grow with RP Product Design Center of Excellence curriculum and be mentored by senior product designers

Qualifications

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES 

  • Product management experience working on mobile apps or web-based products
  • Own & execute product roadmap for specific modules/features "Acts as Product Owner for the Scrum team"
  • Assist in reviewing and analyzing customer needs to identify solutions
  • Breakdown of epics and/or features into stories and acceptance criteria 
  • Product Demos experience (internal or external, as needed)
  • Analyze, triage and troubleshoot maintenance issues 
  • Strong execution/operationally-minded
  • Strong problem solving, analytical and conceptual thinking skills
  • Ability to demonstrate product capabilities to a varied audience
  • Experience with at least one user interface design tool.
  • Experience with SAFe Agile and Scrum
  • Master storyteller and story mapper
  • Analytical and decisive; balance technical innovation, technical debt, ongoing suppor
  • Knowledge of SDLC and agile software delivery
  • Proven ability to support enterprise applications with large initiatives and managing complex requirement and dependencies
  • Effective Communication Skills to include but not limited to.
 
    • Interview Skills: ability to lead a requirements elicitation session, talking with individuals and groups about their needs and asking the right questions to surface essential requirements information.
    • Listening Skills: ability to display active listening skills, understanding what people are saying and to detect what they might not be saying.
    • Presentation Skills: To include writing and making presentations to internal peers and external clients, using visual aids effectively, delivering the material confidently and answering questions competently.  
    • Writing Skills: Communicate consumable information effectively within the organization and to our customers, understanding the different user roles and what the audience needs from the communication.
    • Analytical skills: evaluate the information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, decompose high-level information into details, abstract up from low-level information to a more general understanding, decipher the presented user requests from the true underlying needs, and separate out solution ideas from requirements.
    • Proven experience working with cross-functional stakeholders.

PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES 

  • Experience with B2B2C, SaaS solution, and/or integration platforms
  • Familiarity or exposure to AI concepts
  • Familiar with: AzureDevOps, Confluence, SAFe Agile or basic Scrum Agile experience
  • Industry relevant knowledge is a plus (Multifamily, Self-storage, or Senior Housing, Real Estate, etc.)

Compensation may vary depending on your location, qualifications including job-related education, training, experience, licensure, and certification, that could result at a level outside of these ranges. Certain roles are eligible for additional rewards, including annual bonus, and sales incentives depending on the terms of the applicable plan and role as well as individual performance.

Pay Range

USD $93,600.00 - USD $159,400.00 /Yr.
