Research, recommend, innovative, and where possible, automated approaches for systems administration tasks. Perform daily system monitoring.

Verify the integrity and availability of all hardware, system, and key processes. Review system and application logs and verify completion of scheduled jobs including backups. Apply operating system patches and upgrades on a regular basis and upgrade administrative tools and utilities. Configure and add new services as necessary. Maintain operational configurations and procedures. Remote work permitted.
The position requires a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering and one (1) year of experience in the job offered or a related occupation. Alternately, will accept a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering and three (3) years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation.
The position requires experience with the following: Training Tier 1 and Tier 2 staff; Datacenter processes and internet service provider industry standards or best practices; Configuring, deploying and maintaining Juniper, Cisco, series routers, switches, firewalls in a service provider area; Network protocols (specifically TCP/IP) and dynamic routing protocols (BGP,OSPF); JNCIA or CCNA; Dynamic routing protocols (BGP, OSPF); and programming languages used for scripting or automation of routine tasks including SHELL, AWK, PERL, or Python. Remote work permitted.
**Salary for this role is $142,000
**Hours Monday-Friday 8am-5pm - 40+ Hours/Week
