Financial Reporting Lead

Overview

The Financial Reporting Lead is responsible for the preparation of the Company’s quarterly and annual financial statements and related debt compliance reporting and plays a lead role in the accounting for our long-term incentive programs (equity grants). This role also assists with our accounting for mergers and acquisitions and with monitoring and implementing new accounting pronouncements, financial statement analysis, and other key strategic projects as needed. This role reports to the Senior Director of Financial Reporting and interfaces with Finance and non-finance professionals across the business and corporate functions such as Treasury and Legal.

Responsibilities

•Prepare the quarterly and annual financial statements, including footnote disclosures, and analyze publicly available disclosure and metrics to ensure alignment of external reporting with industry practices.

•Oversee publication of monthly financial results and reporting packages in various formats for internal and external constituents.

•Act as a subject matter expert and escalation point for in the Financial Reporting Analyst’s period-end close activities, including preparation of reconciliations and journal entries and variance analysis.

•Maintain accounts and cost centers for reporting purposes.

•Lead stock-based compensation-related records and prepare related journal entries.

•Research accounting literature and apply technical standards from new accounting pronouncements to produce position papers, accounting policies and procedures.

•Lead or participate in resolution of complex business issues and transactions, including debt and equity transactions, stock-based compensation, and business combinations.

•Assist with the accounting for merger and acquisition activities, both pre- and post-closing of the transaction.

•Provide support for key strategic projects as needed.

Qualifications

 

•Bachelor’s degree in accounting with 7 years relevant accounting and finance experience OR Master’s degree in accounting with 5 years relevant accounting and finance experience

•CPA required

•“Big 4” public accounting or related large public company experience strongly preferred

•Experience with SEC rules and reporting requirements

•Experience in accounting for equity grants strongly preferred

•Experience with enterprise and financial reporting systems such as Epicor, Cognos, Workiva, and BlackLine desirable

 

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES

 

•Strong data analytics skills and intermediate to advanced computer skills in Microsoft Excel

•Excellent oral and written communications skills

•Initiative and ability to work independently and solve problems

•Detailed and control oriented

•Ability to multi-task and work within a strict deadline-oriented environment

•Strong ability to drive continuous improvement of processes

•Experience leading project teams or coordinating the work of others to achieve project goals

  • May be required to lift or move 10+ pounds.

Compensation may vary depending on your location, qualifications including job-related education, training, experience, licensure, and certification, that could result at a level outside of these ranges. Certain roles are eligible for additional rewards, including annual bonus, and sales incentives depending on the terms of the applicable plan and role as well as individual performance.

Pay Range

USD $85,200.00 - USD $145,200.00 /Yr.
