Overview

Reporting to the LOFT Moving GM, this new role of Director of Product Management for Energy/Utilities Services within the LOFT Moving application will lead the development and optimization of B2C energy/electricity product offerings. You will drive innovation to enhance the consumer experience, optimize the sales funnel, and achieve significant revenue growth. This role requires a strategic thinker with a strong background in B2C e-commerce and digital services. You will partner closely with the Director of Product for Internet Services and Ecommerce, Director of Vendor Integrations, and others to ensure cohesive strategy and execution.

SUMMARY

Reporting to the LOFT Moving GM, this new role of Director of Product Management for Energy/Utilities Services within the LOFT Moving application will lead the development and optimization of B2C energy/electricity product offerings. You will drive innovation to enhance the consumer experience, optimize the sales funnel, and achieve significant revenue growth. This role requires a strategic thinker with a strong background in B2C e-commerce and digital services. You will partner closely with the Director of Product for Internet Services and Ecommerce, Director of Vendor Integrations, and others to ensure cohesive strategy and execution.

This is an incredible opportunity to join a fast-moving, high-growth business unit that is changing the way our property managers support residents across our portfolio. In our first 6 months, we have grown at staggering rates and now are looking for someone to own the utilities/electricity e-commerce experience within the LOFT Moving application. The responsibilities are B2C, but you operate within a B2B2C environment. The LOFT Moving application will interact with external partners' systems, and you will have the direct support of Product Managers who own the vendor integrations and back-office integrations. You will join a team of 6 PMs with specific ownership areas located in the USA and India.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Product Development: Lead the development and optimization of consumer-facing energy/electricity marketplace offerings within the LOFT Moving application, ensuring they meet market demands and user needs.
  • Innovation: Drive innovation to enhance the consumer experience and stay competitive in the market.
  • Sales Funnel Optimization: Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to optimize the sales funnel and maximize conversions.
  • Market Research: Conduct market research to identify trends, opportunities, and competitive landscape.
  • Performance Analysis: Monitor and analyze performance metrics to drive continuous improvement and achieve revenue targets.
  • Vendor Management: Manage relationships with energy service providers and ensure seamless integration with our platform.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations, including data security and privacy.
  • Strategic Ownership: Lead and own energy product areas within the portfolio, focusing on strategic initiatives and people management.
  • Budget Management: Manage energy product budget and financial impact, ensuring alignment with business goals.
  • Vision and Strategy: Create and communicate the product vision, strategy, and roadmap.
  • Product Lifecycle Management: Develop and execute product lifecycle strategies, including migration and sunset plans.
  • Product Launch: Drive product introduction and launch readiness, including enablement across multiple channels.
  • Customer Engagement: Lead product impact and customer engagement initiatives, including discovery sessions and user groups.
  • Thought Leadership: Represent the company at industry conferences and events, providing thought leadership for energy product lines.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field; MBA preferred.
  • 8+ years of product management experience, with a focus on e-commerce and digital services.
  • Experience with energy service providers and affiliate marketing.
  • Experience in marketplaces or utilities digital services.
  • Proven track record of successfully launching and scaling digital products.
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
  • Knowledge of data security best practices and privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA).
  • Knowledge of PCI payments best practices and history of implementations.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing and mentoring product teams.
  • Strong database/SQL skills.
  • Strong financial acumen and experience in budget management.
  • Proven ability to develop and execute product vision, strategy, and roadmap.
  • Experience in product lifecycle management and driving product launch readiness.
  • Strong customer engagement skills and experience in leading user groups and discovery sessions.
  • Recognized thought leader with experience in industry and conference speaking.
  • Experience and track record of e-commerce and product growth successes.
  • Strong analytics and data mindset, with significant AB testing experience and use of tools such as Pendo, Google Analytics, Log Rocket, Microsoft Clarity, Optimizely.

Pay Range

USD $117,100.00 - USD $199,500.00 /Yr.
