Overview

As an Associate Design Researcher, your mission is to plan, coordinate, conduct, and analyze qualitative and quantitative user research studies, as well as to present findings to various audiences and ensure contributions are incorporated into design decisions.

You’ll have the opportunity not just to build real project experience as a UX Researcher, but also to learn about how software products are built in an agile environment. You’ll gain exposure to a wide variety of research methods and help craft evidence-based suggestions with stakeholders. 

You should have a strong interest in research, psychology, and design, and enjoy interacting with users.  

Responsibilities

  • Recruit for your own projects and help others on the UX team recruit (creating screener questions, emailing prospective participants, scheduling participants) participants for research projects
  • Lead in the execution of research methodologies (moderating, research calls, taking notes, etc.)
  • Identify appropriate moderated or unmoderated research methods based on project needs
  • Collaborate to translate research findings into actionable takeaways
  • Participate in and/or lead collaborative heuristic evaluations 
  • Assist in creating and managing research operations processes
  • Advocate for users while understanding the business goals of the stakeholders and management
  • Help others on the team grow their research skills set

 

Qualifications

  • Fluency in English with strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Previous experience in a job, internship, or course displaying UX research and/or Design Thinking knowledge.
  • Fluency in UX research and testing methodologies.
  • College degree in psychology, human computer interaction, user experience, or similar. 
  • Familiarity with Agile Scrum methodology.

Pay Range

USD $83,800.00 - USD $142,600.00 /Yr.
