Overview

Realpage sits at the center of where America lives—the software backbone for thousands of property managers and tens of millions of residents. We’re turning that scale into a resident-first fintech platform that goes far beyond payments. This role will lead that transformation, evolving rent from a monthly transaction into a seamless financial journey that helps residents pay, build credit, access new opportunities, and reach the milestones that matter. (open to remote)

Responsibilities

  • Own the vision, strategy, roadmap, and commercial performance for the Realpage Payments product portfolio, spanning multiple product lines from concept through launch, scale, and lifecycle end-state.

  • Manage, coach, and develop a team of 3–5 product managers — including hiring, onboarding, goal setting, performance management, and career development — and be accountable for the performance and results of the team.

  • Allocate people and resources across the portfolio, resolving trade-offs between competing product lines, and set the priorities each product manager is accountable for delivering.

  • Raise the standard of product craft across the team, establishing consistent practices for discovery, business case development, requirements, backlog quality, and definition of ready, and coaching product managers through complex or ambiguous problems.

  • Own financial management for the portfolio, including revenue and margin performance, investment cases for new products and initiatives, and partnership with Finance on pricing and packaging strategy.

  • Define, track, and own portfolio-level key performance indicators (KPIs) — adoption, revenue, margin, client satisfaction, and resident experience — and hold the team accountable to them.

  • Drive product introduction and launch readiness across multiple concurrent launches, including go-to-market planning, enablement content, training, and post-launch performance measurement.

  • Serve as the senior decision maker and escalation point for the portfolio, anticipating product, process, and experience gaps and driving the cross-functional initiatives that close them.

  • Partner closely with Sales, Client Success, and key clients to understand their needs and translate them into a prioritized portfolio roadmap.

  • Partner with Marketing and GTM teams on value propositions, positioning, messaging, and sales enablement that drive awareness, adoption, and expansion.

  • Work closely with Operations, Risk, and Compliance to ensure products are resilient, scalable, compliant, and deliver a reliable experience for property managers and residents.

  • Represent the portfolio to executive leadership, participate in key client discussions, executive briefings, and user groups, and act as a thought leader for RealPage Payments in industry and conference settings.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of product management experience in payments, fintech, SaaS, or related technology businesses, with demonstrable ownership of significant product lines or platforms.

  • 3+ years of direct people-management experience, with a demonstrated record of leading and developing high-performing product management teams.

  • Proven track record of managing products end-to-end — from discovery and strategy through delivery, commercialization, and iterative optimization — across more than one product line simultaneously.

  • Strong familiarity with payment flows (card, ACH, cash/offline, digital wallets) and payment economics; property management, real estate tech, or proptech experience is a plus.

  • Commercially and financially responsible, with proven command of P&L levers, pricing, business case development, and resource allocation.

  • Demonstrated ability to use data and analytics to define KPIs, measure portfolio performance, and drive prioritization and decision-making.

  • Experience working closely with Sales and clients to inform roadmaps, co-create solutions, and support go-to-market and adoption.

  • Familiarity with various development methodologies including Agile procedures, and the ability to hold teams to a consistent delivery standard.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a proven record of communicating with individuals at all levels and translating complex concepts for technical, commercial, and executive audiences.

  • Customer-focused and market sensing, energized by spending time with clients and users and turning insights into action.

  • Collaborative facilitator and relationship enabler, able to align diverse stakeholders around a clear product vision and roadmap.

  • Strategic problem-solving focus; structured, analytical, and decisive, with a bias for action and experimentation.

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, marketing, computer science, management information systems, or a related field; MBA a plus.
