Overview

The Solution Account Manager (SAM III) is a strategic client advisor who helps real estate investment organizations turn complex asset, portfolio, and investment data into better decisions and measurable business outcomes.

In this role, you will partner with asset managers, portfolio managers, investment professionals, analysts, and executive stakeholders to understand how they evaluate performance, manage risk, allocate capital, and communicate results. You will use your real estate investment experience, analytical thinking, and consultative skills to help clients improve portfolio visibility, strengthen data confidence, modernize reporting processes, and incorporate RealPage Asset Investment Management solutions into the way they operate.

This is an opportunity to apply your investment-management expertise beyond a single portfolio. You will work across a diverse group of real estate organizations, gain exposure to different investment strategies and operating models, and help clients solve complex business, data, and process challenges.

As part of a growing team, you will also have the opportunity to help shape how we engage clients, define best practices, build scalable processes, and expand the strategic impact of the Solution Account Management function.

The ideal candidate is intellectually curious, analytically minded, and motivated by solving complex problems. You should be comfortable moving between investment strategy, portfolio performance, data, technology, and executive-level conversations

Responsibilities

This role may be a strong fit for an investment analyst, asset manager, portfolio professional, or real estate strategist who wants to broaden their impact and apply their expertise in a client-facing environment.

You will have the opportunity to:

  • Advise a diverse portfolio of real estate investment organizations rather than focusing on a single company or portfolio.
  • Work directly with asset managers, portfolio leaders, investment teams, and executives on meaningful business and investment challenges.
  • Use data and technology to improve how clients monitor performance, manage risk, and make decisions.
  • Help organizations modernize manual or fragmented reporting and portfolio-management processes.
  • Bring an analytical perspective to client conversations and translate complex information into practical recommendations.
  • Join a growing team where you can influence processes, best practices, client strategy, and the future direction of the function.
  • Build expertise at the intersection of real estate investment management, analytics, technology, and strategic advisory.

Client Relationship & Strategic Partnership

  • Build trusted, long-term relationships with real estate owners, investment managers, asset managers, portfolio managers, and executive stakeholders.
  • Develop a strong understanding of each client’s investment strategy, portfolio structure, operating model, business objectives, and decision-making processes.
  • Own a proactive customer engagement strategy through recurring touchpoints, strategic discussions, solution reviews, and executive interactions.
  • Serve as a consultative advisor who connects RealPage capabilities to meaningful business and investment outcomes.
  • Help clients establish clear success objectives and measure progress toward those goals.

Investment Management & Product Guidance

  • Apply knowledge of real estate investment and asset management to understand client workflows, priorities, and challenges.
  • Engage confidently in conversations involving asset performance, portfolio reporting, budgets, forecasts, valuations, capital projects, debt, risk, and financial and operational results.
  • Develop deep expertise in RealPage Asset Investment Management and related data-management capabilities.
  • Advise clients on how to use asset, portfolio, and investment data to improve reporting, identify risk, evaluate performance, and support more informed decision-making.
  • Translate complex investment, product, and data concepts into clear, actionable recommendations for different audiences.
  • Help clients improve portfolio visibility, reporting efficiency, data governance, risk management, and decision-making.

Adoption, Outcomes & Account Performance

  • Evaluate how clients incorporate data and technology into their investment-management processes and identify opportunities to strengthen adoption, decision-making, and business impact.
  • Develop strategic account plans that connect each client’s investment priorities, operating model, and reporting needs to measurable business outcomes.
  • Lead joint objective and goal-setting conversations and track progress toward measurable results.
  • Help clients achieve outcomes such as reduced manual reporting, improved data quality, faster access to insights, stronger governance, and increased adoption.
  • Identify account risks early and coordinate clear mitigation plans.
  • Support retention and growth by demonstrating value and identifying additional client needs.

Meeting Excellence & Operational Ownership

  • Lead structured, outcome-focused client meetings with clear agendas, recommendations, decisions, and next steps.
  • Facilitate solution reviews that communicate progress, adoption, value, risks, and future opportunities.
  • Maintain ownership of assigned client relationships, account plans, documentation, follow-up, and internal coordination.
  • Manage a complex portfolio with strong organization, prioritization, and accountability.
  • Maintain accurate customer activity, goals, risks, and outcomes in Salesforce and other designated systems.
  • Operate effectively in ambiguous situations by independently investigating issues and driving resolution.

Cross-Functional Collaboration & Team Contribution

  • Partner with internal teams, including Implementation, Data Management Services, Support, Product, Engineering, Sales, and Customer Operations.
  • Coordinate internal resources to address customer needs and provide a consistent client experience.
  • Advocate for clients by translating feedback into clear business use cases and product impact.
  • Surface market trends, recurring client challenges, and opportunities to improve products, processes, and customer outcomes.
  • Help build and refine the frameworks, processes, best practices, and client engagement strategies used by a growing Solution Account Management team.
