The Resident Billing Supervisor manages the day-to-day operations for Billing Coordinators/Senior Billing Coordinators/Billing Analysts. The Supervisor ensures accurate and timely completion of operational activities as well as the development of staff. The Supervisor is directly involved in quality assurance, customer issue resolutions, and employee coaching/problem resolution. Additionally, Supervisors personally manage a small number of assigned property sites.
Manage day-to-day performance of employees on assigned teams
Review and approve work prepared by work teams to ensure its accuracy
Assist with issue resolution and answer questions from members of assigned work teams
Coordinate with Resident Billing Research in the resolution of advanced questions/problems from customers, and other work team members
Assist the Manager with operational strategy, process control, staff selection and management reporting.
Recommend and implement process improvements for department
Create/update job aids
Recommend enhancements to VES system
Recommend site assignments and reassignments as needed to maximize performance of assigned work teams
Complete and deliver goals & objectives and performance reviews to members of assigned work teams
Complete training and testing in competencies as defined by Management
Communicate and document abnormal issues per established escalation hierarchy
Complete accurate and timely billing of assigned sites
Assist and/or manage special projects as assigned by Management
QUALIFICATIONS (Use to include the minimum qualification for the position – education and years of experience, travel required)
Required:
Minimum of 1 year as a Senior Billing Coordinator or Resident Billing Implementation Coordinator with a performance rating of 4 or greater
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES (List the concepts, capabilities developed through training, and innate traits and talents that a person brings to a task or situation)
Required:
Demonstrated ability to oversee timely completion of group deliverables
Demonstrated leadership experience; prior experience managing others highly preferred
Highly organized and detail oriented with demonstrated multitasking capabilities
Demonstrated excellent customer service skills
Strong problem resolution skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Knowledge of Microsoft Windows products such as Office (Excel/Word), Outlook Exchange and Internet Explorer; general offices skills such as data processing, filing, emailing and faxing
Bachelors degree preferred
Ability to work in a fast paced, deadline drive environment
Ability to work overtime as needed to ensure deliverables are met
