The Solution Consultant (SC) is an integral member of the strategic implementation organization, with a specific focus on Affordable Housing customers. This role is responsible for the successful SaaS delivery and deployment of RealPage solutions supporting Affordable Housing portfolios, including compliance‑driven and operationally complex environments.
The SC works directly with customers and internal stakeholders to architect scalable, compliant, and cost‑effective solutions that align with Affordable Housing program requirements (e.g., LIHTC, HUD, Section 8, HOME, Bond, layered subsidies) and day‑to‑day property operations. This role requires a deep understanding of Affordable Housing workflows, regulatory constraints, and operational nuances, ensuring implementations are practical, sustainable, and adoption‑ready.
This team member plays a critical role in managing and providing strategic guidance across the full implementation lifecycle—translating Affordable Housing business strategy, compliance needs, and operational realities into successful RealPage solution configurations. Operating in a client‑facing role, the SC serves as a trusted advisor, tailoring communication and solution design to meet the needs of property‑level staff, regional leadership, and compliance teams.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead discovery to define Affordable Housing–specific business requirements, compliance obligations, and current‑state operations
Translate Affordable Housing operational and regulatory needs into RealPage solution design and configuration
Develop change management strategies that balance compliance requirements with onsite operational efficiency
Partner with customers to ensure solutions support program compliance, reporting accuracy, and audit readiness
Connect Affordable Housing requirements (e.g., certifications, recertifications, income limits, layered funding) with RealPage product capabilities
Formulate solution frameworks that support scalable, repeatable Affordable Housing implementations
Lead presale and implementation discovery discussions with Affordable Housing stakeholders, including compliance and operations leaders
Collaborate with Engagement Management to provide Affordable‑specific input into project plans, scope, and sequencing
Partner with internal delivery teams to plan and manage system design and execution
Plan and support go‑live activities, including Affordable Housing–focused adoption support
Track requirements, milestones, and adoption success with emphasis on compliance and operational outcomes
Contribute to team and department initiatives, including Affordable Housing best practices and enablement efforts
QUALIFICATIONS
Required:
Minimum 5 years of Affordable Housing or Multifamily experience, with significant exposure to Affordable Housing operations
Demonstrated deep understanding of Affordable Housing programs and compliance requirements (e.g., LIHTC, HUD, Section 8, layered subsidies)
Experience supporting or implementing property management systems in Affordable Housing environments
Expert‑level knowledge of select RealPage products and integrations, preferably those supporting Affordable Housing
Intermediate proficiency in consulting and implementation processes
Ability to engage and lead discussions with Directors, Regional Leaders, and Affordable Housing stakeholders
Limited travel
Preferred:
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
Hands‑on experience supporting Affordable Housing property operations, compliance, or implementations
Familiarity with managing affordability, compliance reporting, and operational constraints during system implementations
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES
Required:
Strong understanding of Affordable Housing operational workflows and compliance impacts
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to translate complex compliance needs into clear solution guidance
Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
Ability to work independently, manage multiple implementations, and meet deadlines in regulated environments
