The Financial Solution Consultant is an integral member of the strategic implementation organization, responsible for the successful delivery of RealPage’s Financial and Accounting solutions. This role combines deep accounting and financial operations expertise with advanced knowledge of RealPage financial products to architect solutions that meet customer business, reporting, and compliance requirements.
The Financial Solution Consultant partners directly with customers and internal stakeholders to design, deploy, and optimize financial systems including Accounting, Spend Management, Job Cost, Commercial, and related products. This role plays a critical part in full lifecycle implementations by translating financial processes and reporting needs into scalable, accurate system configurations.
Operating in a highly client facing role, the Consultant must communicate effectively with finance leaders, operational teams, and executive stakeholders, aligning RealPage solutions with current state operations while guiding customers toward best practice future state financial models.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead discovery sessions focused on customers’ financial, accounting, and reporting processes, including chart of accounts, AR/AP, budgeting, job cost, and financial controls.
Analyze current state accounting operations and define future state financial workflows aligned to RealPage Financial solutions.
Translate accounting and finance business requirements into RealPage system design, configuration, and integration strategies.
Serve as a subject matter expert on RealPage financial products, including Accounting, Spend Management, Commercial, Job Cost, financial integrations and reporting.
Develop and execute change management strategies specific to financial teams and processes.
Partner with Engagement Management to provide input into overall project scope, timeline, risk, and financial related dependencies.
Plan and oversee financial system design, validation, reconciliation, and go live readiness.
Establish trusted advisor relationships with customer finance leadership.
Track requirement completion, adoption success, and financial operational outcomes.
Mentor junior consultants and contribute to team best practices and financial delivery standards.
Collaborate cross functionally to drive continuous improvement in RealPage financial implementations.
QUALIFICATIONS
Required:
8+ years of experience in one or more of the following:
Accounting or finance roles (e.g., Accountant, Senior Accountant, Controller, Financial Systems)
Implementation or consulting experience with RealPage Financial products
Strong functional knowledge of:
General Ledger, AR/AP, financial close
Mult entity and portfolio level accounting
Job Cost and/or Commercial financial processes
Expert level knowledge of multiple RealPage Financial product families and their integrations OR equivalent depth from hands on accounting experience.
Advanced proficiency in consulting and implementation methodologies.
Ability to lead and influence conversations with C level executives and finance leadership.
Ability to translate accounting requirements into system design and technical configurations.
Travel required up to 15%.
Preferred:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Business, or equivalent experience
CPA or advanced accounting certification (a plus)
Experience with complex, multiportfolio or multi entity financial implementations
