Position Summary 

The Senior Director, Financial Reporting and Technical Accounting is a key leadership role within the Accounting organization. This position is responsible for overseeing the preparation of consolidated financial statements, ensuring compliance with US GAAP, and providing technical accounting guidance on complex transactions. You will collaborate closely with Legal, Treasury, FP&A, and external auditors, and play a critical role in supporting executive decision-making and external reporting obligations. 

 

This role offers a unique opportunity to lead high-impact initiatives, including M&A accounting, stock-based compensation, and implementation of new accounting standards. You will also contribute to strategic projects and help shape the future of the company’s financial reporting infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Lead the preparation of monthly and quarterly consolidated financial statements and executive reporting packages. 

• Draft and review financial statements required under the company’s credit facility and other external reporting obligations. 

• Oversee accounting for complex transactions including debt, equity, derivatives, and stock-based compensation

• Manage accounting for business combinations, including coordination with third-party valuation firms. 

• Conduct technical accounting research and prepare memos to support positions taken. 

• Monitor and implement new accounting standards and ensure compliance with evolving regulations. 

• Lead annual impairment testing and other valuation-related analyses. 

• Serve as a key liaison with external auditors during quarterly reviews and annual audits. 

• Support the SVP, Corporate Controller on strategic initiatives and special projects. 

• Mentor and develop team members, fostering a high-performance and collaborative environment.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications 

• Master’s degree in Accounting or related field. 

• Active CPA license. 

• Minimum of 10 years of public accounting experience with a major national or international firm, or 5 years of public accounting experience combined with at least 3 years in a financial reporting role at a publicly traded company. 

• Strong technical knowledge of US GAAP and financial reporting requirements. 

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills. 

• Proven ability to analyze and apply complex accounting guidance. 

• High level of initiative and ownership. 

 

Preferred Qualifications 

• Experience with SEC reporting and IPO readiness. 

• Hands-on experience with complex debt, equity, and stock compensation accounting. 

• M&A transaction experience, including purchase accounting and integration. 

• Familiarity with Oracle Fusion, EPM, Workiva, and Shareworks. 

• Experience leading cross-functional teams and managing direct reports.

Compensation may vary depending on your location, qualifications including job-related education, training, experience, licensure, and certification, that could result at a level outside of these ranges. Certain roles are eligible for additional rewards, including annual bonus, and sales incentives depending on the terms of the applicable plan and role as well as individual performance.

Pay Range

USD $138,400.00 - USD $235,600.00 /Yr.
