Overview

This role provides advanced technical support and field services for access control and IoT system installations across multifamily properties. Responsibilities include troubleshooting hardware and network issues, validating product configurations, supporting project teams, and contributing to product improvements. The position requires strong knowledge of access control systems, construction processes, and customer service, along with the ability to collaborate across engineering, vendor, and property teams.

Responsibilities

  • Heavy Call Volume - Respond in a timely and professional manner to all RCP calls and emails
  • Visit active construction sites and retrofitted properties to validate or repair the installation of structured cabling, wireless broadcasting devices, IoT devices, and access control systems.
  • Provides advanced-level technical and troubleshooting support related to access control hardware (including Chirp) to either the RCPs and/or TechOps implementation project manager during the installation of access control systems.
  • Troubleshoot networking, working with internal and 3rd party Internet Service Providers and the ReaPage network team to resolve network configuration issues.
  • Responsible for supporting the review and validation of Chirp hardware within every purchase order prior to contract signing
  • Collaborate with the Sr. Product Manager, Engineering and Channel Manager teams to identify opportunities for product improvement while playing a critical role to shape the future within our hardware strategy
  • Assist with developing technical training materials to support RCPs becoming more successful in selling and/or installing Chirp access control systems
  • Coordinate site visits with project managers and property managers while on site and to promptly file expense reports and site visit recaps for each site visit.
  • Reference and improve internal documentation accordingly with current standard operating procedures.
  • Establish and build positive customer relationships and assure complete customer satisfaction by adherence to the following: prompt onsite arrival time, technical expertise, knowledge of customer environment, professionalism
  • This role will work with multiple stakeholders: engineering, project managers, hardware vendors, RCPs and implementation teams, and property staff.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years as either a Product or Project Manager in access control system hardware, video, security and/or Smart Home

 

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES Required:

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing project requirements.
  • Advanced familiarity with basic electronics, networking, electronic access control concepts, and basic design of access control systems
  • Strong knowledge of the multifamily construction industry and the multifamily project construction schedule
  • General knowledge of construction, electrical, HVAC, access control, structured cabling, and wireless network management.
  • A strong communicator (verbal, written and interpersonal) with excellent customer-facing manner and technique
  • Possess a can-do attitude, willing to roll up your sleeves and help outside your specific role as necessary
  • Be digitally competent and able to communicate effectively within the work environment: Slack, Salesforce, Outlook, Google Sheets/Doc, Microsoft Teams, Concur/Expense Mgmt, UltiPro/HR Systems/Timekeeping.

 

Physical Demands and Working Conditions

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; talk or hear, and climbing a ladder up to 12’. The employee must have the ability to operate a personal computer and express or exchange ideas by means of the spoken word. May be required to sit and/or stand for long periods of time. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. May be required to lift or move 30+ pounds.

 

Employees will be expected to travel as needed. While traveling is often necessary, the position is fully remote. Although RealPage maintains offices in Richardson, TX. Regular office hours should be maintained with the corporate office open from 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. CST #LI-JL1 #LI-REMOTE

Compensation may vary depending on your location, qualifications including job-related education, training, experience, licensure, and certification, that could result at a level outside of these ranges. Certain roles are eligible for additional rewards, including annual bonus, and sales incentives depending on the terms of the applicable plan and role as well as individual performance.

Pay Range

USD $61,500.00 - USD $104,700.00 /Yr.
